Dear ones,
Today, I have just a brief update of what’s to come. I’ve wanted to use the paid subscription space for more unique offerings – something that stood apart a bit more than simply a shorter, maybe more personal essay – and I’ve landed on a couple things that I’m eager to bring into rotation. In addition to the occasional love note (the way I’ve been doing this past month), this space will also be home to:
*Q & As: If you have a question or topic you’d like me to respond to, simply email me and let me know. This could show up as advice questions (I used to have a column); 101 reviews (I’ve already had a request to really breakdown ‘what is anarchism’ which I think is a great question and something people may be confused about if you haven’t been in spaces that are explicit about radical history/tendency. In general, I love teaching and if I can help clarify confusing things about feminism, queer history, radical politics (etc), I’d be delighted!); or just, like, “What are the cutest songs to put on a playlist for baking vegan cookies?” Oh, also, ask me writing questions! I’d love to pay it forward with writing/publishing advice. Sky’s the limit! :)
*Radical Voice Notes: I love voice notes. I love when my essays start a conversation, a back and forth. Radical Voice Notes will be an installment of the newsletter in which I offer a prompt related to the Monday essay to a friend/comrade/person of relevance to the topic. They’ll respond to the prompt in a voice note, which I’ll send to you in the newsletter, along with the transcript. The first one will be up next week, in response to the infoshop essay. I’ve got the perfect person lined up to respond! :)
And, of course, Friday notes will always include Little Lists. <3
Sound cool? I hope so! More soon. xo
love & solidarity,
raechel
