sunset. thank you. <3

Dear ones,

I had a WEEK — emotional! stressful! etcetera! — and am pushing up against some deadlines, so this will be short and sweet. Right now I am really excited about projects in the works, really awed by spring, really grateful for friends. I’ll be back with longer musings soon, but for now enjoy the usual recommended links of good reads, things to watch, and to listen to. <3

love & solidarity,

Reading.

Kate Aronoff’s review of the new film, How to Blow Up a Pipeline, insightfully grapples with the questions the (problematic) book it’s based on compels us to ask. Carmen Machado on writing sex scenes (thanks to Z for sharing this). The impact of therapy-speak on our relationships. Muffy Davis on writing regardless of other people’s bullshit opinions of you. I was also reading a lot for the GOOP/ghost essay from Wednesday (all linked in there).

Watching.
